How did Cartier become so successful

Cartier brand was truly French and the Swiss watch brands were giving Cartier watches tough competition. That's why Cartier started to further develop their watch line using innovative designs, materials, and established trends in women and men fashion time wear. Cartier men's and women's watches in gold with precious stones and diamonds to functional watches in chrome and leather, to bracelet type watches for women specifically, all began to be lapped up by the eager customer. Cartier has set many precedents that have made its launch of watch collections each year a highly anticipated and eagerly awaited event. Through the years Cartier has collaborated with other famous watch makers to offer a range of watches that give tough competition to other watch makers such as Breil, Pierre Cardin, Longines, Storm, Gucci, Frank Muller, Raymond Weil, Audemars Piguet among others.

As to how Cartier men's and women's watches were invented is yet another interesting story. Cartier met a famous Brazilian pilot, Alberto Santos Dumont, in 1904 and found that the pilot was unable to depend on his pocket watch especially during escape from mishaps or accidents. It was then that Louis Cartier took the responsibility of creating men's watches in particular and thus Cartier men's watch brand was born. This also marked the trend of classic designs in men's watches.

Such is the appeal of Cartier men's and women's watches that there are plenty of counterfeits available in the market that look just like the real ones but at less than half the price. Discount Cartier watches for men and women are also available on the Internet. Some of the most famous Cartier watches models are: Cartier classic 'tank' and contemporary model called "Tank Francaise;" then there is "Pasha", a popular lady's watch, and the sleek 18k Cartier bracelet watch "Panther."
